EXTENSION ITINERARY
DAY 1: ZANZIBAR - ARUSHA TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Flight Zanzibar - Arusha.
After breakfast, you’ll leave Arusha and drive about two hours to Tarangire
Na;onal Park. On the way, you’ll see Maasai villages and wide-open
grasslands just like the Africa you imagine.
Inside the park, the land is dry and golden, with the Tarangire River flowing
through it. This river is important because animals come here to drink,
especially in the dry season. You’ll see elephants, zebras, and antelopes near
the water, plus big Baobab trees and thorny acacias.
For lunch, you’ll stop by the river for a picnic but watch out! Monkeys might
try to steal your food.
As you drive around, you could spot lions, leopards, buffalo, and many more
animals. If you’re very lucky, you might even see rare ones like the Greater
Kudu or Fringe-Eared Oryx.
At the end of the day, you’ll head to your lodge or camp to rest, listening to the
sounds of the wild as night falls.
Day 2: DRIVE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
We’ll start early with breakfast before heading to the Serengeti. The drive
takes about four hours, passing through the cool, foggy forests of Ngorongoro.
Keep your eyes open you might see buffalo, baboons, or even elephants
hiding in the trees!
Optional Stops (Extra Cost):
1. Oldupai Gorge Museum – Called the "Cradle of Mankind," this place has
some of the oldest human fossils ever found. You can learn about early
humans and enjoy the view of the rocky gorge.
2. Maasai Village Visit Experience Maasai culture by watching traditional
dances, visiting a real village, and maybe buying handmade souvenirs.
Afternoon We’ll stop for lunch at the park, then start our game drive in the
Serengeti! This is the Africa you’ve dreamed of wide-open grasslands filled
with lions, giraffes, zebras, and maybe even cheetahs or leopards.
Dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serenge; Na;onal Park according to
the standard and the type of accommoda;on requested from our op;ons.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today’s tour departs around 6am in search of nocturnal predators returning
from their night’s hunting or animals waking up in the early dawn. Breakfast
boxes will be prepared and you will take a brief stop for a bush breakfast to
enjoy the sun rise. The adventure continues toward the Grumeti River, where
we'll track the Great Migration (seasonal). Along the way, we'll search for
Serengeti's famous predators—lions, cheetahs, and leopards—that thrive in
these plains. A stop at the Seronera Information Center offers insight into the
park's fascinating history and ecosystem.
Midday Break:
Return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch and refreshing drinks, with time to
relax during the day's peak heat.
Afternoon Options:
1. Evening Game Drive: Head back out as temperatures cool for another
chance to spot active wildlife.
2. Guided Nature Walk: Explore on foot with Maasai guides, learning about
traditional plant uses, animal tracks, and bush skills.
Overnight:
Dinner and another night under the stars at your Serengeti accommodation,
surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
Day 4: NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater considered by some to be
the Eighth Wonder of the World..The home of over 120 species of mammals
including the Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most
sought-after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to
see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass
plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the
cool water.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and
photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a
large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and
hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape
buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa's premier safari destinations.
After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the
park's famous hippo pool. Thereafter, you will drive back to Karatu.
Day 5: DRIVE TO ARUSHA FLY TO ZANZIBAR
After breakfast at your lodge, we begin the journey back to Arusha. This scenic
drive takes you through Tanzania's beautiful landscapes one last time—passing
Maasai villages, rolling hills, and vast savannas. Depending on your flight
schedule, we may have time for a short stop in Arusha for lunch (own expense)
or last-minute souvenir shopping.
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport (or Kilimanjaro International Airport), you'll
check in for your flight to Zanzibar Tanzania's tropical paradise! The short
flight (about 1.5 hours) offers stunning aerial views of the Indian Ocean before
landing in Stone Town, where your beach escape begins.
