Masai settlements and the expansive, sun-drenched landscapes that are iconic

to East Africa.

Upon entering Lake Manyara National Park, your game drive will commence

through a diverse range of habitats. The park is renowned for its breathtaking

groundwater forests, giant fig trees, and the alkaline lake that gives it its name.

This lake serves as a critical resource for the region's wildlife, especially during

the drier months.

A highlight is the park's famous tree-climbing lions, often spotted resting on

the branches of acacia trees. Your search will also continue for elephants,

troops of baboons, hippos wallowing in the water, and vast flocks of flamingos

that tinge the lakeshore pink.

remain vigilant—the inquisitive blue monkeys and vervets are known for their

mischievous attempts to snatch a treat!

As you explore the park's network of tracks, keep your eyes peeled for other

magnificent creatures such as leopards, cape buffalo, giraffes, and a rich

variety of antelope. With a bit of extra luck, you might spot a klipspringer

perched on a rocky outcrop or a large forest hornbill in the canopy. After an exhilarating afternoon of wildlife viewing, you will conclude your drive

and proceed to your chosen accommodation to relax and reflect on the day's

incredible sightings.

wildlife in Africa.
